First of all, thats just frikken amazing!

Where do you start your Dectection, Action, Adventure, Batman, World's Finest etc.

When starting my collection on those titles I chose a number I thought I could complete from, so on Superman I did 100-300, Adventure I wanted all the Legion stuff so I tried to complete from 267-380, although I must have a 247 someday. Action I went right before Supergirl started so I chose 250 as a starting point and Worlds Finest I arbitrarily started at 85 but will get any issues from 50 up because they are so cool. Superboy I am only missing number 1.

It is tricky on those big DC titles as, like most of us, it's going to be impossible to start from #1 - so, like you it's about picking a starting point.

Action Comics: 250 up to May this year.

Superman: 100 up to May this year. also complete volume 2 and Man of Steel

Batman: 150 up to Dec 2009.

Detective: 300 up to Dec 2009

Adventure Comics: 300 - 500

Jimmy Olsen: 40 - 161

Wonder Woman: 130 - 325, plus a complete volume 2

Worlds Finest: 100 - 323

I also have lots of sporadic earlier issues from the above titles, such as Wonder Woman 1-20 (missing 7 & 12), Batman 4, Supes 6, 8, 10, 12, etc.

The JLA & JSA are complete up to this month, including all those stupid spin-offs in the 90's.

Showcase: need 6 issues for a complete run

B&B: need 13 issues for complete run

As for Marvel

The following titles I have complete up to this month

FF

Avengers (and the numerous spin offs)

Spidey

Hulk (including TTA 27 up)

Thor (including JIM 83 up)

Cap

Iron Man (including TOS 39 up)

Daredevil complete vol 1

X-men 1-150

All the bronze age super-hero stuff as well, plus Conan

Probably lots of others that I can't remember as well.

Now it's GA, magazines & pulps that I look for mainly.

I've always been interested in completing series, I always work on two series at once, when one of them is complete I start another one.

I started around late 2003 and was virtually finished in 2009.

I'm still in two minds how deep I will go with Batman, I intended to go for Batman #1 - #400 but with the price hikes for Batman #1 I might go for Batman #100 - #400 instead, and sell off the sub 100 issues I already know. I don't collect GA anyway, so it would make sense.

Oops just noticed I included Master of Kung Fu, that should be in the Bronze section

After the 1962/3 Annual it would be 1972 before DC brought Rudolph out again, in what was referred to as C20 Limited Collector's Edition. I wrote Overstreet and told them that the book says in the indicia "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 1972". Well they did change the listing and put it under Rudolph instead of Limited Collectors Edition but added that it was "implied" C20 lol

Anyways, I have every DC Rudolph, all treasurys and the digest sized one as well.

I used to have AF15 - ASM 300 at one time and I sold it off piece by piece over the years.

Now I own an almost complete CGC set of TOS 39-99. I have a few more raw ones to upgrade a few to submit to CGC and I'll have the entire run slabbed by the end of the year. 16 of them are at CGC now and I'll need about 6 more left that are all on the way... :headbang:

TOS 39-99 was always a grail for me and I am almost close to achieving it slabbed.

I'd like to know how many here have full runs that are slabbed?

I consider this complete: ASM 1-441 plus Amazing Fantasy 15

AF 15 and 1 to 20 are slabbed minus 14 and 15.

And my mini-runs include:

JIM 94-125 plus JIM 83

Thor 126 to 260

FF 20 to 200

TOS 48-99

Iron Man 1-30

Cap 100 - 116

Silver Surfer 1-18 (easy to complete!)

Subby 1-50

Savage Sword of Conan 1-100 (my most recent run)
