anyone know what happened to metro's 8.0 restored action 1?

it was there a couple of days ago...

nope...in fact, I inquired about it weeks ago, requesting a price, but never got a response with a price  and now it is gone (shrug)

Was it this one?

wow.

some big books have really been coming out of the woodwork recently...

This is just the tip of the iceberg. As we see with the Atlantic City collection, there are still a lot of nice GA stashes that will come to light as owners age and/or the economy continues to struggle.

it was an 8.0 restored copy, and that one looks like it, but as mentioned, I inquired, and never heard a peep back on price?...even emailed V directly... guess I am "out"

i really find it hard to believe a serious long time collector like Rick sends an email directly to the seller about buying an Action Comics #1 and doesnt even get e response back.

metro are UNBELIEVABLE!!! :frustrated:

I have recently modified my original CGC-certified Action Comics #1 collection.

Two slabbed pages have been sold (one on eBay and another here on the boards); but I have also managed to acquire another iconic page to pair together with my Marco Polo intro.

Page No. 21: the introductory "splash" if you will to the Pep Morgan story. :cloud9:

Talk about being able to literally hold history in your hands. :whee:

Those look like higher quality pages than the one's you sold.

The current Action Comics #1 pages in my collection are No. 19 and No. 21; so they both came from closer to the center of the book (generally speaking and especially with books that are already coverless/incomplete, pages closer to the center retain a greater degree of preservation).

Plus they are both respective splash/intro pages from the greatest comic book in the history of our hobby...so that doesn't hurt either. (thumbs u

Why do I keep finding these damn Actions, all I want are some nice tecs.

Nice solid book, cover detached and 90% split but nice paper....

Why couldn't it have been a Detective 27 instead, same month and all.

On a side note does anyone know if they share the same back cover?
