i really have no evidence that robojo hasn't "gone straight" and is running an honest business.

That is a joke. :roflmao: Use the search function. This guy's history goes back many years. There is nothing honest about a known con-man.

maybe i should send one of his comics in to CGC to settle things ,

Are you " bostonbeer"? He came on a while back and threw himself on the mercy of CGC with a dozen RoboBlow books. He dissapeared right after that. hm

but i don't have any evidence that he's currently ripping people off. so i might consider doing business again .

Have fun in the Gray area. You'll get what you deserve, from the books you buy to the people on these boards. These boards try to help this hobby by keeping it straight and exposing bums like these, and helping each other out. It's called dignity, character, and respect for your fellow collector. However, it's your money, buy away.

You couldnt have scripted a better thread. Maybe next he'll ask about a scanner for his pressed books that he doesn't consider resto while arguing whether Action 1 or AF 15 is more justifiably valuable in a thread in the selling forum while asking how to perform a search.

Also if you smoke weed your supporting terrorism. :taptaptap:

pressing isn't resto. AF15>action. i figured out what was wrong with the search thing. the date default is funky. i just cleared it out and it works fine. and there's mostly opium poppies in afghanistan, not weed. smoke away.

I'm as fickle a two dollar whore.

This gentleman is also a shill. I'm a noob hence my detection level is about as low as the time I hit on the strapping 6'3" blond with stubble and a bulge that would cause Peter North to blush.

But the coincidence of him shatting on a known dubious seller and randomly complimenting a known dubious seller is mighty convenient.

Maybe I'm mistaken but it remains to be seen.

a crook when it comes to comics graded 9.0+, sure. i've only won 3 auctions from him, average grade of the comics 7.0-8.0, and i don't see any evidence that they've been altered. i can see not buying from him on principal, but sometimes it's nice to get some cheap comics.

Excellent attitude. (thumbs u

I'm sure you'd also be quite happy dealing with rapists and child pornographers so long as their books were cheap and they hadn't actually raped you.

I hope every book you've bought from him is actualy restored.

thanks! you're such a pleasant person! at the time i bid on his auctions, i hadn't read about him on these boards. all i went on were the 100% money-back statement on his sales if something comes back restored, the comics he has for sale listed as restored appearing to make him honest, and the fact that he has not a single negative feedback out of 1200+ feedbacks left. but you're right- i should've know that he rapes child pornographers. i feel so guilty!

Now you know. Change your wicked ways. :gossip:

you are mistaken, sir.

i may be a noob, but no shill. just realized that one of the comics i have packed up and ready to ship to CGC for the steranko signing is a robojo book, so i'll have some evidence one way or another in... 2 months. damn economy-tier turnaround. hoping it doesn't come back purple, but even if it does, the purple on a sig series book doesn't look that bad.

man... scamming people on comics seems like a lot of profit. The scammers are glad they don't have a regular job.

fixed that for you

lol. i guess it is profitable if you're selling books for hundreds or thousands of bucks. i don't think i've ever sold a book for over $100 on ebay. most have been $5-10 or less, so my impression of selling (scanning all the comics, packing, going to the post office) is that it's almost more trouble than it's worth. but i that's probably not too much of a hassle if it's the only job you've got.

Chalk it up to bad luck I guess, that the seller you used as a positive example, has literally bilked this community out of thousands of dollars. Lots and lots of sellers on Ebay, you just happened upon a Hall of Fame D bag (shrug)

Avoid the casinos, nothing good can come of it for you.

yeah. i've gotten lots of good stuff on ebay over the years. i guess it's probably best to avoid the people whose only job appears to be selling comics on ebay (unless they have an actual physical comic book store and are just selling some online too). i do love gambling though... sometimes you get . sometimes you get a 9.6-9.8 new mutants 87 and 98 for $11 (it happened just a couple of weeks ago) or a VF marvel team-up #1 thrown in as a bonus book (happened 2 years ago).
