hey gang--nice posts! Finally got home to peruse my CGC books--and I have to say that I agree with the grades with almost all of them. Unfortunately, I shipped these off "blind" if you will to CGC 3 weeks before I joined the board...The info I know now could've saved me some cash...Some interesting info too I want to share when I can post some pics....

OK, posting pics tonight 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

Absolutely incredible cover!!!!! Joe Kubert, Berni Wrightson, Neal Adams, Mike Kaluta. Does it get any better than 70's DC Horror?????

thumbsup2.gif not much!

the weird thing is, they are hitting this age, where they just start looking better. Its odd, i would look at the books 5 years ago or so, and they were neat, i always collected them, so i liked them fine. But in the last 16 months or so they just start LOOKING better. Some indescribeable essence. I may come off sounding nutty, its hard to explain. Almost like they now have this patina that instantly makes them appear older & more interesting. Does anyone know what i am grasping at????confused-smiley-013.gif

Shiver, Exactomundo. There is something in the air and I feel it too. They do look better. That is what has drawn me back to Bronze horror with a vengeance. I have not been on this thread much and I need to take the time and go back and read every single post here. But I am absolutely in love with these books being discussed. Not only with the DC bronze horror, which YOU Shiver helped to tune me into again a while back but I am really big into the WBN, TOD and other Marvel Monster books and have been known to buy many multiples of these same books.

I've gotta take the time to figure out how to post a scan and then I'll put up some really cool books. For example, the first ten Wrightson cover Swamp Thing books are just incredible. Anyone care to post a #2? Thanks------Sid
