Picked these babies up recently through an online auction. I know capt hook is looking for a nice copy of HOM #174, but that copy is heading in for pressing and grading soon. The HOM #180 and #205 were sold in my most recent sales thread.

Wow, that's a great looking book.

Was the paper stock really low quality for this issue? I've never seen a copy with straight white pages before. Tiny miswrap but better than most copies.

 

Any guesses on what this book will fetch?

in a Foolkiller's sales thread I had to have it.

 

After reading this one I read my other two Phantom Stranger books and

those stories were awesome and I've found another title to collect.

Just saw the book---it actually almost looks like a 9.8. I'm halfway sarcastic b/c I'm seeing 9.8s pop up that I flat out disagree with...and unfortunately it's coming up on a more frequent basis.

 

Well, now that 9.8s are here, maybe we'll get some decent prices for the 9.6s. I'll throw in a thrill bid but don't mind the first buyer to pay the premium so I can get discounts in the future. IMO Swamp Thing is over-rated (but the story here is nothing short of FANTASTIC) but I'll eventually snag a 9.8 of this issue for my collection one day. It may not be this issue or this day, but my day will come
