I just plugged in the ones that already rocketed past the $200 barrier. There are more than a few that are about 6+ days out with multiple active bids already in the $130-$170 range for just the first issue first print.

The 1-8 sets are running more by $100 at bids.

 

I'd like to see a complete 1-8 CGC 9.8 run on PP.....anyone interested in posting their thoughts on what a hypothetical set like that should/would be listed at currently?

Well, take into account the set that Krighton sold of 1 & 2 for $900.....Then add in at least $100 each for the other with a little extra "bump" if some of these books were the first to public offering in 9.8, I'd say $2000-2200 isn't unrealistic

Before anyone gets nutty: no I do not have a 9.9 nor have I seen one. Just curious is all.

$1500 to $2 G's at the moment (notice that last part)

Does the possibility of a BBC flop on PP scare any of you guys investing $400+ on this series right now? Even if it is a solid book.

 

Not that I'm dropping $400 on a PP...(I got in early at around 70 clams)...but the day I worry about a $400 investment is the day I stop investing.

That being said, the 'BBC show' is purportedly way off into the distance as far as development goes. The only thing immediately on the horizon is the motion comic. That means there's more than enough time for the old in and out for some, and if things bode well....then prices increase...if not....someone gets stuck with the hot potato PP #1 for $10,000.00 when the music stops.
