New Mutants #98 @ $71 & 13 bids.

Signed Scottie Deadpool #1 Variant @ $29 & 2 bids.

Here's some Deadpool appearances some of you collectors may no be aware of. I like a lot of these issues because they come before his so called emergence as the modern day Wolverine and before the market was saturated with his appearances.

Nomad 4,15 ( I don't know if I have ever seen this appearance listed but he's in there )

Silver Sable 23,30

Most list his 2nd appearance as the highly over printed X-Force 2 but it's actually the X-Force 1 Gold 2nd Print issue

Heroes for Hire 10,11

Gambit 17,18

Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe 25

White Tiger 5

He appears in an issue of Marvel Age but I don't remember which one.

Awesome list Mr. Ween. Please elaborate on the X-Force #1 Gold 2nd print. That seems like an interesting book all around. Was there something added in the 2nd print that wasn't in the first? ^_-

There was an article on bleedingcool some time ago, and since I live in canada and all these Canadians collect Alpha Flight, its an easy pick up for $1 and sell for $15 + - but I've only found two. Very low print run on that Volume 2.

Everyone that sells off there collection on Canadian kijiji / craiglist have 100's of Alpha Flight back issues. Its terrifying.

In the latest series, there near parliament hill (I guess Elgin street) which was cool. Although, wasn't super accurate haha.

They also had a cave/ secret lab underneath it as well, complete with giant jet hangar, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist.

Captain Canuck #1 is rising in value. Just buy that now for $10 before it hits $20.

It takes place in 2020 when Canada is one of the largest mega powers and its all based on Montreal having the biggest airport in the world... Plus IDW refuses to reprint issue 1 - 3 which were written and drawn by Comely and ARE SUPER TRIPPY!

Spawn #9 Newsstand CGC 9.8 SOLD... for $300

http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=24343337

There is no other comic with Angela worth owning.

There is an Angela Pirate story in a 1995 promotional book that will eventually sell well once people find out about it. Basically a story about Angela defeating a Cut Throat Pirate Spawn. It was given out to retailers based on their orders of Spawn 32 I think. (It somewhere around that number.) Came in two covers one Spawn and one Angela. Right now its in the $1 bin.

Other then that book yeah those two are about it.

A question for those of you who keep a close eye on this stuff; from say, the last couple of years what new release books have genuinly become decent long term bets?

I can think of Thief of Thieves, Revival, Saga and Rachel Rising as having continued demand for first issues along with maybe New 52 Batman and Detective. Are there others or is the type of speculation which you engage in based more on short term arbitrage? This is a sincere question borne out of nothing more than curiosity.

I just see these threads pop up for titles like The Vault and Great Pacific, Dancer, Clone etc, etc suggesting that they are the next big thing only for interest and secondary values to peter out. Of course not every book can be a hit, but i'd be interested in hearing opinions based on an overview of the market as a whole over the past couple of years or so.

I know we discussed Agent Poulson and SHIELD over and over again, but now that the other hundred of thousands of comic book readers know SHIELD got picked up is Battle Scars worth it? I see it at cover price. Never lower. Or whatever that other book we talked about was?
