Wizard World New Orleans 2012

I thought there would have been some reports by now. Seeing as how there haven't been any, I offer this short sketch.

My 6 am flight out of Tampa had me in the New Orleans Convention Center before 10 am. I walked out of the building on Sunday to catch a cab to the airport at 4 pm.

Here are the names:

Dale Roberts (thanks Dale!)

Foolkiller (not set-up)

Roy/Vintage (not set-up)

Richard/Bedrock (thanks for the lusty comic book convention story!)

Bob Storms (the most dapper dealer of the weekend)

Jeff Hotflips & crew

Greg Reece

Harley Yee (not set-up)

Boyd/Black Cat – Boyd got most of my cash this weekend. A great dealer!

Borock

Matt Nelson

Paul Toon Tumblers

Chandler with Desert Wind

Chris/Heliosten (thanks for the offers of assistance!)

Greg White

BeachBum

Carbo with Neatstuff

Bechara Maalouf

Richie with Tomorrow’s Treasures

Vinnie with Metro

George Perez

Sorry for those I've overlooked :foryou:

Dinner at Mulate’s with Bedrock & Dale was outstanding. Fried alligator appetizer was meat taken from the loin & was just as tender as could be. Blackened redfish & beers. Thanks for the meal, Bedrock!

I believe I heard 13K attendees through the door. I thought that the crowds for Saturday & Sunday were strong.

Mammaries, Light the corners of my mind

Misty fleshy colored mammaries, of the way we were.

Scattered pictures, of the smiles we left behind

Smiles we gave to one another, for the way we were...

It's from 1931, Neil.

That's the year of Tracy's first appearance.

so it is an early appearance of Deek Tracy? but not the first? Neato...

That would be but I don't believe Chester Gould's hero appears in this issue. I was just pointing out how key 1931 is.
