:gossip: Watch his feedback over the next month. What I am getting at is I am 99% sure based on my back and forth messages with him is that he doesn't really have these comics. He continues to lie to me in these back and forth messages and I am sure he is just out for some quick cash. I mean really who sells anything on eBay for $17 a pop when they know these have been selling at $65 plus all day long if something isnt either stolen goods or just fake nonexistent goods.

 

 

I want someone to neg him to warn others that he is selling books I am 99% sure he doesn't have. So far 7 sketch variants and over 50 color variants. All way below market value. I have been talking with others who did BINs from him and he is stringing along at least 4 of us in regards to request for legit scans or pics of him having these comics. He keeps telling us give me a few minutes, give me an hour and he just doesn't sent anything but continues listing these at firesale prices. You tell me if that sounds legit? If you think it is I would love to make a friendly wager say a raw NM - copy of #19 against a similar priced book of yours that he doesn't ship these to anyone.

I will have to go back and read my prior posts on this subject but I thought I stated already pretty much what was going on with this guy for the whole board warning people about buying these. I am pretty sure we are all just tieing our money up for a while until we dispute it through PayPal and get refunds.

 

I know that 3 people who bought items from the first wave of his listings and paid right away still haven't been given tracking #s, nor has he followed up with his promises to send legit pictures.

 

If he keeps listing at the rate he has been each night he is gonna end up listing more copies than Branget managed to pickup at the Expo and we all know that nobody managed to get more copies than Jeff. lol

 

Can anybody who was there at the Expo confirm if they sold out of the 200 MVP passes and that the 200 sketch variants were passed out to individuals?

I'm not saying he's legit because it is a little suspect. Having said that; he's not doing anything wrong if he actually does have these books. (which i'll admit does seem doubtful) If the print run actually is 5000 then the price will adjust to this level or lower pretty soon anyway. If he did somehow get a stack of them he probably just doesn't want to get stuck with them when they drop. He's sold some stuff in his feedback, so who knows......

 

 

About them dropping, his first view waves of color variants were nothing but a firesale selling them X5 for $85. that is 5 for what 1 was going for. :insane:

Overall there is only flaw that a press couldn't fix and on the spine, there is a really tiny chunk of the front cover torn away (that little 'thing' above the 'the'). But I have no plans to grade any of my WD's (except my #1 which will land a double sig soon :cloud9:) so I'm totally happy with it.

Well our eBay buddy rohrv05 is back at it again tonight listing these variants on eBay. Starting the night off with the sketch variants. Maybe when it is all said and done he will end up listing like a quarter of all the variants printed.

 

 

So are we guessing that he is trying to outright scam, get paid and clean out his PayPal account or is he trying to crash the short term eBay value on these and maybe is planning to start buying up legit copies?

Would you be honest with me about what is going on with you listing all these variants but refusing to give anyone scans of the copies they are suppose to be receiving if I respond to the positive feedback you already left me with a negative feedback warning buyers that something isn't right (97% feedback should get potential future buyers to ask the right questions to protect themselves don't you think)?

 

I have tried to be very polite with you, as I know a couple other buyers have been with requesting scans, yet you are blowing us all completely off.Step back and look at your auctions from the viewpoint of a buyer.

 

You have now "sold" half of all sketch variants that have gone off on eBay and roughly 2/3rds of all color variants. You have done this leaving close to $4000 dollars on the table for what these have been selling for with every other eBay seller and you continue to use two generic scans.

 

Are you trying to either scam all the Walking Dead collectors buying from yourself or are you trying to crash the short term eBay market for these to buy up legit auctions for yourself?In 14 years on eBay this is the 3rd time I have dealt with a seller in this type of situation and the two times before things were not legit,

 

I really really want to believe you are legit and want to purchase a bunch of these from you but you clearly don't care. If you can't send me scans showing a legit pile of these in your possession please cancel the auctions that I won from you so far so I know things are not legit and we can go our separate ways.

But I thought the source of all Walking Dead stuff was Robert Kirkman, are you trying to tell us Jeff is indeed Kirkman? hm

 

Really though my true concern at this point is that this guy is gonna rip off a lot of Walking dead collectors, I already have the raw copies that I want for my collection (unless I upgrade them with Jeff for 9.8s). I guess if this insufficiently_thoughtful_person keeps doing this he is going to continue to knock the pricing down on eBay and some legitimate copies may sell for cheaper than they should because of this and I could snag extras that way to later flip.

Hi everyone,

 

Newbie to the boards here. Found this forum in relation to that scumbag rohr seller on eBay. I was lucky enough to snag a copy from an alternate seller. Packed mine up for grading this evening. I'm hoping it comes back 9.2 or better.

 

Welcome to the boards. This is a great place for info when it comes to comic book collecting. Curious how you stumbled onto this forum in relation to that turd rohrv05?
