Grading conflict/comparison

How is it that my comic has a 7.0 (my pics are not great I know) and a comic on heritage auctions right now has a 8.0? (http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7059&lotNo=91374 for pics of that one). My copy is a lot better looking, no debating when I hold it in my hands. And has white pages. I am quite disappointed right now and am contemplating resubmission.

 

My TOS notes:

Spine readers crease,

Spine wear,

Right center front cover lite crease,

Bottom back cover small lite stain,

Center back cover lite crease

 

Heritage auction TOS notes:

Spine stress lines breaks color

Spine wear

Front cover small writing

Top front cover small tear with crease

Left top back cover crease

Left bottom back cover crease

Bottom back cover stain

Left center back cover tear with crease

Also, the bottom of their comic is CUT off, and missing part of the text!!!

 

Any opinions, and has anyone else ever felt they got ripped off, knowing their comic was better then another.. ?

....the reader's crease is what killed your book.....and it's not present on the Heritage book. If your reader's crease doesn't break color you could send it to joeypost and have it pressed. It might then qualify for a higher grade. I've never seen a reader's crease on anything above 7.0....hope this helps. GOD BLESS...

Also be aware that CGC deducts harshly for back cover stains. We often hear

complaints about harsh grading and back cover staining is often the reason and missed by the person who submitted to CGC.

It looks to break tiny color but I don't see it under a 7.5 that book is insane.

Really no color breaking.... hard to see in pic... and there is a stain at the bottom, but the 8.0 also has a stain... bigger? Just asking these questions, because it's been a long time out of this comic game

Yea but your readers crease is bad so it brings down the technical grade even though it has better appeal than another book.

Completely agree, it's the readers crease. Looks 7.0 to me. Definitely will benefit from CPR.

The book was mis-cut, a product of production. It's not factored into the grade.

Definitely press and resubmit. Or else the person you sell it to will do it and reap all of the increase in value.
