I've had it since 1943 and it's really rough...but it's a great comic!

Here's my next one a full year later.

As I've mentioned before, Sundays were always special...my Father would take me to

the Train Station and I would get to select a comic from The UNION NEWS Counter.

I remember how pleased I was to find this one since I had just heard BLACKSTONE

on the radio. The UNION NEWS always had comics I couldn't find elsewhere.

Love that story of the UNION NEWS counter! I still remember specific favorite newsstands full of comics.

Just ran across this offer on the back cover of ALL-AMERICAN #94.

A BUCK ROGERS ATOMIC PISTOL Holster Set...and a DAISY COMMANDO

pump action repeater, both for only $1.59 plus 11 cents postage.

How did I ever pass up this offer?

While looking through my HARVEY COMICS collection of JOE PALOOKA and HUMPHREY

issues I ran across a few Topper Strips by HAM FISHER. This interesting one is from

HUMPHREY #2, December 1948.

It seemed like every time I found a MORE FUN on the newsstand it had changed

it's contents.

I love this cover. I took a run at a high grade copy of this issue in a Heritage Sunday night auction, but it went too high for me.

FAWCETT always had an interesting way to introduce new characters and get you to

buy titles that you normally didn't read.
