This is from FP 2/5. It's from one of the great text story pages they had near the centerfolds...Guardineer did a ton of these great illustrations in the early Centaurs.

Besides illustrating text stories (which could run beyond the usual 2-pagers), Guardineer rendered some amazing centerfolds too (OK, it's one *big* panel), this being amongst my very favorites:
