Pictures from a local anime con: Otakon 2012

If you've never been to an anime convention, it's an experience. I've been going to Otakon for around 12 years now, and I've watched it grow. I have my issues with it, but at the same time I go back every year because in the end, it's fun! The crowd is much younger than comic book conventions. The costumes are usually on par with what you would see at SDCC or Dragon*Con. I guess. Anyhow, Pat took some terrific pictures:

Jake has some serious guns, the guy right below him with the Wolverine claws obviously spends some time in the gym. And more than a couple of the women are to die for. I gotta tighten up.

So where is this at?

That would be vega. Nothing to do with wolverine. I miss playing street fighter.

I wish Pat would post the rest of the pictures from the convention. He did a few private shoots with some *stunning* cosplayers.

Anyhow.

Otakon takes place in Baltimore, MD every summer. :)

I knew it wasn't Wolverine but I wasn't sure who it was. Thanks!

I've never played much in the way of video games, but I'm geek enough to have enjoyed the 1994 movie. Must have watched it a dozen times with my son on video. Not high art - but a good coke and popcorn movie. Actually did well at the box office. It took in almost 100 million against costs of 35.

They keep talking about making another one.
