I got the book back with no explanation.

Book looks 9.8 to me and they graded another copy of the same book as a 9.0 so who knows or really care, as the book is more worthless than common sense in Florida.

Do you recall when those submissions moved to CCS in Process?   I have submissions still at Received at CCS since 6/21.

 

Honestly I would be happy just to have them returned to me unpressed and ungraded at this point.

Called CGC again today as there hadn't been any follow-up to my inquiries from last week Tuesday or this Monday.
Current thought process is that the 2 missing books from my modern comic submission got shifted to a magazine submission due to not fitting inside the inner well.
At this point it is still all speculation BECAUSE the books listed in the 'surprise' magazine invoice are not the books that are missing from my modern submission (or ones I have ever owned).

Kim in customer service is / was understanding about the situation and my concerns.
They stated that they can send out the other 8 comics right now if I wanted.
I declined as I wanted the full order to ship together because I want this issue to be completely resolved, not partially.
They also explained that customer service has to email everything to CGC and wait until someone addresses the various concerns.

To me this is a flawed system and not putting the customer first when things go wrong / missing.
Now, I wait some more and hope someone finds time to read the email and act on it.

They actually didn't go into CCS in process. They were marked as received on 4/11 and stayed that way until scheduled for grading on 2/4. My credit card was charged by CCS on 1/6.

My 6/14 CCS orders just went into process 2/10/2022 so yours should begin in theory within a week or two….. in theory of course.

At best, I was hoping for 24 9.8s and a 9.4. So I was pretty close. The 9.4 is a newsstand version that I thought I could sneak in there. The 9.0 is a surprise. The graders notes say:

Not sure how that could have happened... all of these X-Force issues were pressed by my local presser (back in 2019). Not sure where that foreign substance came from? Should have been noticed during the press? Maybe a grader sneezed? Anyway, I can live with one 9.0 considering the others.

I was really nervous for this submission overall. It is a perfect example of what several people have been saying here... people submitting books based on the high prices from June/July 2021 (submitted in July 2021). Back then Stray Dogs was what $400? $500? X-Force 11 was consistently around $150 and was seemingly on its way to $200. Radiant Black was hovering around $100.

And now? Stray Dogs and X-Force 11 are worth $100 in 9.8... Radiant Black is in the $60 range. Anything other than a 9.8 was going to be a problem for this submission (the 9.4 is maybe worth $100 too being a newsstand).

Was really hoping for a 9.9 for one of the X-Force issues... but there are none in the census... perhaps not obtainable for this book.
