Bottom feeding time. Some last minute, cheap wins to go with my newly won Tec 422 :)

The DC Special 15 is somewhat of a special book for me. One of the first my parents bought me. I had just started 1st grade at the time.

I did not think any prices were weak on the books I was after this auction. Not on the ones I won (some shown below) and especially not on the ones I had to turn back from the Sun on - ouch! :tonofbricks:

Some real hot PH buyers out there lately with deep pockets - I did not stand a chance

(btw congratz Bronty)

Lots of sweet books picked up late in the auction! I had tracking bids on those 6.0 TOS books but decided I had already spent my limit. Great pickups.

$4300 for a NM 98! Now that is hilarious! :roflmao:

It is a lot less hilarious than the $12,000 sale. The owner of that copy must have thrown up when they saw this result.

Well as there weren't any comics in my favorite categories that I could afford this time I went with a few early Marvels.

Nice pickups. I love early Marvels but the story in TOS 44 has to be one of the dumbest I've ever read. Apparently they were desperate to tie in to the Cleopatra movie that was had just been released.

I saved back almost half of what I spent at heritage. Figured I would reward myself and then it's back to saving again. (With the exception of NYCC)

buddy of mine bought the NM 98 cgc 9.9....... he doesn't care how much, he just buys what he likes and enjoys..... he bought the Hulk181 cgc 9.8 double cover for over $20K.....

Anyways, I upgraded the one key showcase book i have in the run that wasn't reaching my floor grade It's the SC6 cgc 5.5 and a few other fills I needed (FF50/52 cgc 7.0)

Also picked up a few keys, including the TOS39 cgc 8.5, was happy with that one and just sold my 8.0......

I am not smart enough to figure out how to get the images here....

Grabbed 3 happy happy books:

1) Ok, I am not wild about the tape on this one. But it presents well, fills out my run, and the price was right.

2) I paid strong for this, but I've been chasing a nice copy for a good 2 years now. Enough was enough!

Grabbed this 1960s DC white-pager with a great cover for $75.

You paid strong against me on the WW 178. So I'm still chasing a nice 178 to go with my nice 179. Congrats on your win (you bum...) :slapfight:
