Guess That Comic

Today will be easy covers (highly recognizable) with difficult clues.

New clues will come somewhere between every 10 - 60 minutes until solved.

The transparent AF15 in the background is there to prevent google searches from identifying the book.

Everyone is welcome to play.

Issue: # 9 Fantastic Four Issue # 9's cover image
Cover Date: Dec '62
Cover Price: $0.12

"The End of the Fantastic Four!"

The FF is broke after a down turn in the stock market that makes them sell off everything in the Baxter Building. But there is a miracle waiting for them as Hollywood calls but its not what it appears as the studio executive who called them to make a movie is none other than Namor. Namor takes the FF on location to shoot a movie but Namor is not really shooting a movie, he tries to defeat them one at a time. But the FF defeats Namor's plans as the return to Hollywood and have the movie produced, ending their money problems.

This has nothing to do with the current guessing game-- just something I stumbled upon on Comic Book Realm -- re: Fantastic Four #9

the last line is so ironic to me

A lot of those old stories are just...well...dumb.  lol

Stan Lee obviously loved the fake movie gag.

Looks like there's a scope on it.

In the future, Thompson makes phaser rifles that share a family resemblance to their classic projectile weapon from the early 20th century.

And a silencer.

It just needs a laser sight to be complete...although a grenade launcher would be nice.

Sure, why retool the factory if you don't have to.  :)
