A 9.4 Daredevil 1 sold for under 10K. $9750 to be exact. WTF? In June 2011 someone paid almost 25K for a 9.4. The 12 month GPA is 14K. The last recorded sale on Nov 15 was $11,950. Someone got a bargain. Or DD 1 is dropping like a rock. We'll see.

I don't think demand has decreased, but supply has increased. There are now 25 copies at 9.4, 12 at 9.6, and 2 at 9.8.

In the area that I collect, golden age batman books, there were some strong prices. $2300 for detective 118 in cgc 8.5. $3300 for batman 41 in 9.4.

That's a pretty good price on the 118. I didn't bid because I didn't like the cut of the book.

Great price on the 41. Another copy was recently offered for 2K. I'm pretty sure that seller has adjusted his price by now.

Exactly - in June of 2011 when that copy sold for $25K, there were 18 copies in 9.4 and 8 in 9.6. In it's first 11 1/2 years, CGC certified 26 copies in 9.4 and 9.6, in the last year and a half, that population has increased by 42% while the total number of copies has increased by less than 20%. Weird... :gossip:

FF #112 CGC 9.8 White has sold for $2,716....

hm

Not the sharpest 9.8 around. Still, a very far cry from the 15k price tag on Pedigree a while back :o

It was 22k...

I stand corrected. Ouch !! :o:sorry::o

Crime Suspenstories 22 CGC 6.5 $3988.00

Pretty crazy price for a 6.5 in my opinion. I thought the CGC 5.0 on Heritage that sold in October for $1015.00 was a little high also. In July a Vg- raw sold on Heritage for $448.00.

A trend?

Maybe Harley Yee's "fine" book for 900 bucks is a deal then? ( it is more like a 4.5 )

Insane price for a 6.5. A lot of pre-code horror has been heating up lately.

The  was not directed at you, rather at the whole history behind that book but that is a tale of the past now.

Strangely, I feel happy this morning

Totally bonkers.

Seems like quality golden age is really trending up. I am getting skunked on pretty much everything lately.

I've actually been back buying SA as its continued its downward spiral. Here's a book I've never actually been able to acquire in really high grade, even when I was knee deep in UHG FFs back in 2002-2004. Its a pretty sweet looking copy that I was very happy to acquire for under $2k, considering I missed out on the Curator 9.0 (that sold for north of $4k).
