Captain Marvel #14 – great cover, terrible story, even worse art.

Daredevil #29 – still great.

Fearless Defenders #7 – great story, beautiful art. Best issue so far.

FF #10 – this book is a mess.

Guardians of the Galaxy #5 – hope that the movie is as good as this book.

Indestructible Hulk #11 – finally, a well written issue. And it looks as if Marvel are trying to deal with all the time travel mess they spread across their titles in the last few years.

Uncanny X-Force #9 – bleh.

Uncanny X-Men #9 – double bleh.

Venom #38 – intriguing, as our hero gets a sidekick.

X-Men Legacy #14 – terrible.

X-Men # 3 – mildly interesting.

September 2: Bakuman Vol 20 (8 issues).

Sept 9: Invincible Compendium Vol 2 (48 issues).

Sept 10: Fables Deluxe HC Vol 7 (9 issues). This was an improvement over the last volume. More books in the collection and I think the price was lower. Seemed like a decent amount of table setting that led to nothing, but dang-it I'm in for another book when it comes out. I think Im going to jump off after the Fabletown War that seems to happen around issue 75.

Captain Marvel #16 – more Infinity nonsense, with some ugly art.

Daredevil #31 – Mark Waid mixes a recent US criminal case with the Sons of the Serpent and the Jester to administer some social justice.

New Avengers #10 – yawn inducing.

Savage Wolverine #8 – another dull book.

Secret Avengers #9 – total recall.

Superior Spiderman #18 – plodding.

Thunderbolts #15 – some seriously ugly art in this book.

Uncanny X-Men #12 – uncanny exposition.

Venom #41 – sympathy for the Devil.

They should pay me to read some of it.

Still - at least it's not DC. That New 52 stuff gave me a nervous breakdown.

Batman is married but is having a gay affair with Robin. Superman is a psychopathic sex maniac who breaks a female mass killer out of prison and sets her up in a love nest, before she eventually bludgeons Lois Lane to death. Wonder Woman is a certified loon who wants to murder her son as a sacrifice to the Amazonian cult she belongs to, while they want the child to impregnate them all and produce more baby Amazonians. Green Lantern and Aquaman hang around in the background and generally ignore their female partners.

If only the New DC had followed along those lines - just think how interesting they could have been.

Instead you'll have to do what I did and read:

Supurbia: vol 1 #1-#4, vol 2 #1-#6.
