August 1: Hawkeye TPB Vol 2 (5 issues):

August 3: 2001 Nights Vol 1 10 issues):

August 5: DCBS floppy order (12 issues):

August 8: 7 Against Chaos by Harlan Ellison (9 issues)

August ?: Lone Wolf & Cub Omnibus Vol 1 (32 issues)

August ?: Lone Wold & Cub 2100 (12 issues)

August ?: The Killer Vol 4 (6 issues)

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, Vol. 1- Activation (20 issues): was looking for a new Manga to read with Bakuman ending in a month. Not exactly hard sci-fi, but more social depth than just straight Gundam fighting. I'll pick up another volume and if its also good then this goes into the buy rotation.

Lone Wolf & Cub Omnibus Vol 2 (32 issues) : just as good as volume 1. Always interesting to see what angle Lone Wolf takes on a contract. Also interesting to see the backstory to his Origin in this volume.

Fantastic Four, Vol. 1 (Waid, Wieringo HC) 12 issues. My favorite modern take on F4. Better than Byrne, or Hickman who are also good. Maybe it Mike's slightly animated lines keeping things fun, maybe its Waid's take on these non-superheros.

Avenging Spider-Man #21 – still a good read.

New Avengers #6 – more intersting than previous issues.

Savage Wolverine #5 – funny & awesome.

Superior Spider-Man #12 – still interesting.

Thunderbolts #11 – dumb.

Uncanny Avengers #9 – why have one stupid Avengers book when you can have many. The art on this book is shocking.

A+X #10 – some terrible art in this book.

All New X-Men #14 – still good.

Avengers # 16 – more New Universe rubbish.

Iron Man #13 – cosmic.

Morbius #7 + #8 – good stuff.

Nova #6 – different writer, same tosh.

Savage Wolverine #7 – banal.

Superior Carnage #1 – bloody.

New Avengers #8 – still ponderous.

Scarlet Spider #19 – silly.

Young Avengers #8 – a Sliders experience, and a pretty good one at that.

Miraclemet's 1000 comics in 2013 Club

Totals: 1038 books

January: 175 books Favorite: Elephantmen

February: 110 books Favorite: Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture

March: 150 books Favorite: Uncanny X-Force

April: 128 books Favorite:Two Faces of Tomorrow

May: 85 books Favorite: Daredevil by Waid

June: 64 books Favorite: Peter Panzerfaust

July: 120 books Favorite: 2001 Nights

August: 150 issues Favorite: Lone Wolf and Cub Omnibus Vol 2

September: 56 issues

September 2: Bakuman Vol 20 (8 issues). And here is the end. Picked up Bakuman a few years ago when they were only 2-3 volumes in and immediately loved it. Felt a little treadmilly on the back 8, but all in all a VERY enjoyable slice of life read where I got to glimpse at the Manga industry from the inside!

Sept 9: Invincible Compendium Vol 2 (48 issues). For $40 bucks or whatever I pre-ordered it for this was a big brick of reading. Love the soap-operay sci-fi-ness of this title. More be-headings & disembowelment than any other title this side of Conan.
