Reviews on Rotten Tomatoes have been pretty negative saying it's mindless action... I don't see what the problem is

Cobra Commander looks awesome! They got his look right for this movie. I'm not expecting anything but action so I'm still in.

I've also read some very positive reviews by those critics who are actually familiar with the source material and are fans of the franchise. As a child of the 80s, I'm more likely to identify who those people and lend credence to their reviews over some coffee-house sittin', chai-tea sippin' 20-something movie blogger who thinks nothing worthwhile was ever made before his first pube arrived.

 

Wife and I will be seeing the movie this weekend. Stay tuned for geeky fanboy review.

Seeing this today. Seeing this because I grew up watching the cartoon so not really expecing much but action. Now if they do the whole Cobrala/Serpentor movie that would have to be done right. Loved that movie...but it's Hollywood so I wouldn't get my hopes up!
