NEW MAN OF STEEL TRAILER

100 posts in this topic

I liked this trailer, but I don't care much for the amount of gravitas they are trying to give supes.

gravitas - now there's a word you don't hear every day. (worship)

Some of us do.

Definitely praying it's better than ''Returns'' :P

It can't help but be better than "Returns"...the only redeeming part of that movie was when he saved the airplane. The rest of the movie, sadly, is forgettable.

Really looking forward to it, hopefully I am not setting myself up for disappointment.

Ditto.

That it's another "origin" tale is a big concern. I just hope it doesn't take an hour or more screen-time for the "WHO AM I?" angst-laden intro. :wishluck:

That "in custody" scene flashed by so fast. Are those Zod's men escorting him? (shrug)

I think the "All Star Superman" intro is near-perfect. :cloud9: Clocks in at a few seconds using nine words and five stills:

Doomed planet...

Desperate scientists...

Last hope...

Kindly couple...

Superman

Agreed. If filmmakers could only be that artistically succinct.

I thought it looked boring as all hell.

I couldnt get through the trailer, how the heck am I gonna get through a 2+ hour movie? (shrug)

I bet we wouldn't agree on pizza toppings or ice cream flavors, either.

I think the trailer was pretty good.

I hope at the end credits I hear a scream Shazam! with a lightening bolt.

don't we see lois questioning him in a police interrogation room? can't understand how zod's men would have had a hand in getting him there.

It seems to be the U.S. Army that’s taken him in to custody. I'm assuming because Superman cooperates to be taken into custody. I mean, that's the only way their going to get him into cuffs. The trailer looks great. I can't wait!

Perhaps in an attempt to convince them that he's one of the good guys. I'm curious as to whether Zod is causing chaos at this point in the movie or not.

Yeah, it's Army. (thumbs u

I paused the trailer, did a screen-grab and took it into photoshop to brighten. The night-vision lenses on the tops of their helmets gave the dark scene a "futuristic armor" look. So I wondered if they were Kryptonians, especially after Zod shot his mouth off.

Nope, just Superman playin' possum.
