Spent many a late night playing D&D, Traveller, and even Melee for ready in a minute combat. Loved them all.

 

This book looks a little like a what if Lord of the Rings met Conan met the Wolfpack on steroids with females. Yep, I'm pretty sure thats it

It's a huge influence in this series, but it'll be subtle.

 

Also, Brother Ponies.... fantasy version of Bronies.

Not even the +5 vorpal sword, how about original rules and artifacts..A +5 Holy Avenger for a straight 18 paladin..ok showing my age now..started playing in high school in 1982-83..with basic rules etc..
