At my peak, I had more than 7,000 books (25 long boxes of majority Bronze but some Silver) and I was in the same boat - all my spare cash went to more books. Then life happened - marriage, house, kid, dog (all in a relatively quick period) and there was no money for more books. So I downsized the collection to 10 long boxes which let me buy more Silver. More life stuff happened and I downsized again to 5 long boxes (all pretty high grade Silver). Sort of lost interest for a while and when I restarted, sold most of the Silver to get into the PHMs and GA.
