Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie thread for your reading pleasure

Whoa!

In Batman vs. Superman: Asylum, Batman and Superman are best friends, but they’re both having a bit of a midlife crisis. Batman has been retired for five years, after the deaths of Grayson, Jim Gordon and Alfred Pennyworth. (Batman has programmed a holographic Alfred, who acts almost like the real butler.) The Joker is also presumed dead, after he fell to his death at the end of Tim Burton’s Batman. We learn early on that Bruce quit being Batman because he feared that he would start killing his enemies and going after revenge instead of justice.

Meanwhile, Lois Lane is divorcing Clark Kent (because “Truth, Justice and the American Way” don’t leave much time for relationships.) Clark spends lots of time moping around Smallville and rekindling his high school romance with Lana Lang, who’s a doctor now. Clark talks a fair bit about how he’s an alien and he’s wasted his time on this small planet full of petty humans, which seems kind of out of character.

That is dark.

Joe Quesada couldn't find another way to distract from this movie like he attempted with Man of Steel?

Twitter Spammers Are Seemingly Attacking Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

A number of Redditors seem to have uncovered a trolling campaign directed at attacking Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on Twitter.

In what one purported social media marketing specialist says is likely a paid -- but very inexpensive -- online campaign, numerous tweets reading "Batman v Superman will be a two hour tracking shot of every DC character crying in the rain" (or variations thereon) are making their way through Twitter. The messages seem to be using an algorithm that prevents the spambot from being detected by creating a variety of different spelling errors, double spaces and other means of preventing easy cut-and-paste detection.

Most of the accounts broadcasting the message seem to feature young women as their profile pictures, and a number of them tweet primarily non-English-language tweets, except the Batman V Superman message. It's unclear whether they are fake accounts, whether the accounts are hacked, whether the users are in on the negative messaging, or a combination of those factors.

And people assume cyber war happens just between countries or protest groups against businesses.

(:

Just means the marvel fan-camp is quaking in their boots for a real movie. Trying to take huge dumps on it before it even shows. How lame.

Not that you were playing with it for yourself, right? It was just a test run for your son.

Less than a month away!

I still stick by my prediction!

1.1 billion and up worldwide!

I have to agree.

When you look at the results of the Nolan Batman run and Man of Steel, the trend would appear to be $1 billion (+). Otherwise, something went horribly wrong.

This movie is going to be amazing and smash it at the box office! I don't care what "McWeenis" says...

The movie is going to make a billion easily worldwide, I don't think anyone questions that.

I do think they need it to be well recieved and generate excitement after its release. Man of Steel made money, ASM 2 made money, I think the $ is a forgone conclusion, I think they need this to be something that I THINK Civil War will be in terms of fan goodwill and excitement.

Like this cant be a "meh" or that was alright" movie.

I guess the difference is like Man of Steel made more money than Iron Man 1, but I think we all kind of feel the general goodwill toward the latter where the Man of Steel feels divisive.

Rumors regarding Wonder Woman make me happy though.
