Picked this up in a group of comics at an auction years ago...have no idea

why the piece was cut out of the cover.

^ I guess it was that "big premiere issue" badge on the front same as SS#1 making me think it was too big not to be squarebound. I now realize cap'n marvel #1 is the same way - never owned a copy of that until recently either!

Hulk 102 is like that as well, as is Iron Man 1

 

Don't have either of those. Never owned 102. I bought a VG copy of IM 1 from mile high for $40 back around 1983. lol- I remember my friend mocking that buy saying micronaughts #1 was worth more. :roflmao:
