Looks like you have QUITE the issue there Ryan - It's a "Collector's Item"! :o:baiting:

This one really IS a collectors item lol lol

Okay... read WATIW #2 last night. Warlock has set out to divide the infinity gems up and accoss the universe in an effort to avoid the problems that have arisen from a single person having ownership (see spoilers for more)

He picks:

Drax the Destroyer - Power Gem

Moondragon - Mind Gem

Gamora - Time Gem

Pip the Troll - Space Gem

Himself - Soul Gem

and

An unknown person to possess the reality gem. The book goes through and shows the gathering of the watch, but doesn't explain at this point why these individuals were chosen. In the next issue.... the High Evolutionary.

I also read:

What If Silver Surfer Possessed the Infinity Gauntlet

(1) Surfer was able to snatch the gauntlet instead of missing it in the IG series

(2) Become a supreme ruler of the universe

(3) Ends hunger, hate, war, etc.

(4) Kills Mephisto, his enemy of old

(5) Chooses Warlock and Thanos as advisors

(6) The power begins to consume him

(7) He sends Thanos and Warlock to Dr. Strange while he decides what to do

(8) They resurrect Shalla Bal to visit the Surfer and talk him into giving up the gauntlet

(9) Instead, he splits the power and gives 1/2 to SB, and she proceeds to turn against him (crazy).

(10) They fight and ultimately the Surfer realizes he has become a madman.

(11) He restores the universe to the way it was before

(12) He and SB leave in a flash of light, supposedly destroying the infinity gems

(13) Strange and Warlock return to Earth and Thanos remains to consider what has happened

(14) Thanos picks up the gauntlet and looks at the stars

(15) On a far away and unknown planet, SS and SB live on a world he created for them only, just before destroying the gems.

(16) SS has returned to Norrin Radd and they live out their days on the planet.

Cool book (thumbs u

Read WATIW #3 over the weekend:

61wRufEV%2B8L.jpg

(1) Gotta be honest... this issues wasn't very good. lol

(2) Warlock is depressed and suicidal over his not being able to handle Godhood

(3) Returns to the High Evolutionary for guidance

(4) HI has lost his mind in the meantime

(5) The compound comes under attack and Warlock orders the HI troops to defend the compound while he thinks of a plan.

(6) Warlock ditches at the end of the issue

He has the soul gem, which should still give him some awesome powers (shrug)

We'll see what issue #4 has in store...

I think I finally have all the crossover, pre, and post IG related books. Picked up SS 34-50 (mostly) over the weekend. I had some of these already and a few of the missing ones were not relevant to the IG storyline. :hi:

Read WATIW #3 over the weekend

Thanks for reminding me why I didn't finish WATIW, Ryan :eyeroll:

I was excited, however, to find a Warlock Collectors edition #1 in a dollar bin this weekend (reprints Strange Tales 178 - 180). I've actually never read Jim Starlins 1st Warlock story, so I'm really looking forward to it. ST 178 has always been a cool cover; I'll probably end up hunting down a copy for the PC.
