Anyone have a run down on the Mystics and how they did? The River City's were really picking up steam at the end.

Of all these books, I certainly wouldn't have thought the 32 would go for the biggest bucks. It's a nice copy but highly unlikely to hold it's title as highest graded at only 8.0.

Isn't there an 8.5?

I think there was, but it was cracked out. It's not in the census any more.

If you go to the mycomicshop.com website, they sometimes have census data that's a few months old. The 8.5 still shows up in their data.

Highest graded doesn't always mean nicest (at least not to me); the 32 that sold tonight has a good cut (on a book that's sometimes cut narrow in a title rife with slight miswraps) and nice page quality. Of course, the former 8.5 may be even nicer.

$20,551 for the Whiz #4.

Thought I might be in the running at about half that price. A beautiful book.

Yeah $2600 for a Strange Tales 29 CGC 6.0 is pretty insane.

I have one being graded now... :wishluck:

Johnny - that Menace 11 used to be my copy.

Had a chance to buy both those books on the boards...as I recall I let the ST 29 go as I do have a nicer copy (but what was I thinking?). There wasn't even a mad rush on that book when it was posted - it sat there for quite a while whilst I prevaricated and then someone eventually pulled the trigger.
