Whatever they go for they’ll be under-priced. With common books like gs-x 1 fetching over 40k all golden age mega keys and keys are severally undervalued (along with silver age and copper age mega keys being severely over valued).

If you're talking about this copy sold $22,800 on Heritage in Nov 2018 it doesn't really compare to mine and the one being offered now that have a lot better eye appeal. Not all .5 incompletes (or any CGC grade for that matter) are equal. This 2018 had tape and a big chunk out of cover.

Yeah that one and agreed, not the best presenting .5 with the pieces missing and tape. I actually thought the buyer of that copy got a good price back in 2018.

Well I've waited a long time to see a nice looking Bat 1 .5 missing back cover come to auction. Now I'll get to see what the value of mine is when I sell it in 10 years.

Heritage copy on top and mine on bottom. Pretty much apples to apples comparison.

I guess kids really did cut out those back cover pin-ups. I wonder how many back covers have surfaced thru the years

I bought my back cover in Dec 2013 off eBay. I've seen the one that sells every couple years that is trimmed down to the picture but never a full back cover just by itself. Could have missed one sell since I'm not actively looking these days.

I would not be the least bit surprised to see this sell for over $50,000 — perhaps well over $50,000.

That would be a market changer for sure. I'll throw my guess out there, why not. I'll guess a little more conservatively at $43k.

How dare you old GA collecting fogies try to denigrate and besmirch true and timeless treasures like Transformers 1, just because you are jealous that some astute and lucky bidder managed to snagged it in a steal of a deal for a mere piddly $44K.  (tsk)

I can appreciate the various habits and needs of any collector.  Ink, paper, a couple of staples equates to a freebie or a few Million.  I saw a younger looking collector post a 2.0 Batman 1 on Facebook.  Says it was an upgrade from his 1.5...  Anyone else see this?
