Cover art like this almost makes me want to quit Silver Age books altogether.

Cimm - Yeah, that one doesn't come up very often and usually not in very nice shape. I was happy to score one a few months ago. Actually I've gotta put up a few new ones I think. I've been slacking in this thread over the last few weeks...

Great book! A wonderful theme of Cole books is the great mixture of colors.

Thanks! From what I can recall, Cole only did 2 other mainly purple colored covers. Top Love Stories 4 & 7 have purple background at the top, then there's:

for showing me a scan of his CGC 9.8 Contact Comics # 11 and I've been

hunting for a nice copy ever since. This popped up for sale and I couldn't

pass it up and it's only a CGC 6.5 White Pages and I love it.

 

Still searching for a nice presentable mid grade CC # 11.

Great copy! If I could just get my grubby little paws on a copy of #5 I'll have the run completed.

Since I got the TTL Romances #9 book earlier this week I decided to put an offer in on this other TTL Romances #9 and got it. So en rte is this one. I don't care for the store stamp, but it's faded and the book is sharp besides that, plus nice copies don't come up often.

Just 'cause it's Friday and I need to kill the next few hours here at the factory, thought I'd post up a little run of LB Cole books, several of which were bought on the boards or from boardies and many of which I paid too much for (but not both!). Let's start with this one, one of only 2 GA books in my collection with White pages.

The centerpiece of my LB Cole collection, and one of my all-time favorite books. Tied for top census copy, it stood alone when I picked it up but wouldn't you know a 2nd copy shows up a few months later! I'd love to see the Church copy, Metro has several of the Church Suspense books in their inventory so I can only guess who has it?

The #9 and #10 were picked up off the boards from Weird Paper from a small GA collection he unearthed a few years back. My scans are poopy, but the books are nice.
