Has he denied it yet?

At first I thought this to be a joke....like you have been band. But it seems to be a sticking point with people. By posting this link are you saying Kav is really someone that got banned? I would think that since it has been posted more than a few times someone has proof to this. Kav is this true? (shrug)

I don't believe everything I read so I will just ask...Kav do you know this person or was this you?

Every forum I ever go to people immediately start accusing me of being someone from the past. No it is not true-if I was banned that would be the end of it for me-I would feel no need to come back in some secret identity. I've been accused of being Cal, Tiny, SACRO, and a few others-I lose track. I think it boils down to some people just cant believe some new guy just shows up and when he's treated like 'the new guy', doesn't just crumple into the fetal position...they think a new guy wouldn't be so un-cowed by a crowd so it's gotta be some guy who already knows the ropes....I always take it as a compliment.

Does anyone know if it is actually against the rules to get banned and then later come back as someone else? The question seems silly to ask - but then when I look at the terms of use for the boards I don't actually see anything specific to that.

Perhaps the answer is so obvious it didn't occur to them to state it? If you are banned - it's the person that is banned, not the ID. Right?

However, I did see this in the rules as something not allowed:

Harrasment of another member through unwanted and repeated arguing and conflict - particularly when exemplified by "following" that person from thread to thread

Just sayin.... :gossip:

It's definitely against the rules and I welcome a scrutiny of my IP address or proxy check. I do get followed/harassed a lot but it doesn't seem to be really a major offense.

Well, I would think it's against the rules - but like I said not stated - at least not in my checking.

I'm fairly savvy with a computer, but it would not be hard to for even a novice to figure out hot to get around an IP/proxy check. Use your smart phone. Hop on board you neighbor's internet or go to McDonalds. Run through a proxy server - or two if really paranoid.

Like I said it's impossible to prove a negative-all I can say is, I am a new member, have no smartphone nor the inclination to go thru so much trouble-there are plenty of forums out there-I don't need any particular one. But if someone loses a fight and consoles themselves that their opponent must have been on steroids or that there was a second shooter, that's out of my hands....

Re: NOVA

I would say the episode is far more relevant to the modern comic hype. It speaks more of bubbles. Walking Dead is considered by myself and many others to be a bubble. Rocket Raccoon's recent popularity is likely a bubble. If you take what the episode says and apply it to any situation where hype escalates to a frenzy, it seems much more useful.

Re: The Thread

It's amazing that a half dozen people with nothing to say on the topic filled up 18 pages with off topic comments and criticism. Is there a fear that intelligent conversation may emerge and disrupt all the insults?

It is just a shame and disgraceful how you all treat Kav. I know him personally and he is a great person, smart, witty, and could add a lot to this board. You all are just jealous of how much he's learned in so short a time, and the fact that he won't back down from you bullies. I'm here to defend my buddy. Take it from me, he is not a shill, you can't prove a negative!
