At this point they should do troll reverse marketing.

Have Josh Trank just do a PSA - type commercial.

"You've heard Fantastic Four is one of the worst movies EVER. Honestly, I'm ashamed to have been involved with it. It truly is an abomination. It will make you feel pity for Kate Mara, one of the richest, most beautiful and talented young women in America, and want to punch Miles Teller in the face EVEN MORE. But you really can't understand the true depths of its hilarious awfulness, until you SEE IT FOR YOURSELF. "

lol

You, sir, are a marketing genius!

It might become a cult movie once it hits the "home video" markets (DVD, Blu, Netflix, etc). :wishluck:

:jokealert:

Still gonna watch it. I mean I just about own every comicbook movie known to... wait how can I end that and remain PC. hm

Just have each of the four stars come out with a commercial telling everyone what they thought the stupidest/oddest part of making the movie was.

For Michael B Jordan:

"I did love working with this cast, but for some reason Kate Mara always smells like mustard, like all the time. I made a odd face at the end of the second scene because the smell was strong. They didn't edit it out for some reason, you can definitely see it. Also, I'm pretty sure I heard Miles Teller use the N-word on the phone twice. He and I are cool, but just sayin...."

I can tell you don't have Virus, RIPD and Superboy: Season 1 in your video library. Don't worry, you soon will. :baiting:

At least Man-Thing had Rachael Taylor in it.

Awesome pic ... when the writer's idea of integrity is to resort to things like Reed using his stretch powers to imitate Travolta on the dance floor (from the previous garbage), one should not expect anything from the studio that shall not be named ...

On Thursday, FF took in $190 per theater. Ricky and the Flash, with Meryl Streep as a "hard-rocking guitarist", took in $279 per theater. They've been out the same amount of time.

Yep because you can never underestimate the power Meryl Streep has. One thing is for sure she will be nominated for an Oscar for her performance in this film. I saw that film in the theater the same day as I saw FF what can be said is this I had to go to 3 different theaters to get my seat to see Ricki and the Flash because the older generations supports Meryl. At the same time this generation of people that support her don't show up to evening screenings. The age of the crowd in general was 60 and over in that sold out theater I was in. I may of been the youngest person in there at 35.

Ant-Man, in it's 6th weekend, will top FF, in it's 3rd.

The people have spoken. 3.9 on IMDB

After all that has come out about this movie, I can't believe it has achieved even this much.

Domestic: $47,045,000 (44.0%)

Foreign: $59,982,940 (56.0%)

Worldwide: $107,027,940

Though comparing that to at least a $120 MM budget, there is so much more Fox would need to break even.

anyone have any idea on how much the corman version cost to make?

From Wikipedia:

In 1983, German producer Bernd Eichinger met with Marvel Comics' Stan Lee at Lee's Los Angeles home to explore obtaining an option for a movie based on the Fantastic Four.[1] The option was not available until three years later, when Eichinger's Neue Constantin film company obtained it for a price the producer called "not enormous" and which has been estimated to be $250,000.[2] Despite some interest from Warner Bros. and Columbia Pictures, budget concerns precluded any production, and with the option scheduled to expire on December 31, 1992, Neue Constantin asked Marvel for an extension. With none forthcoming, Eichinger planned to retain his option by producing a low-budget Fantastic Four film, reasoning, he said in 2005, "They didn't say I had to make a big movie."[2] In September 1992, he teamed with B-movie specialist Roger Corman, who agreed to produce the film on a $1 million budget.[2]
