seriously... two more under-reported pb greats. RD or someone posted "Call Me Deadly" and I collect musician covers so had to have it. "Harlem Woman" has a similar night club feel in the digest format.

Having studied a gazillion covers lately, it's pretty funny how all of these pulp/pb artists varied up their female faces but they all had stock dude faces they broke out in painting after painting. It's almost as if they thought their audience would only be looking at the women

After posting those Detective mags, I found this little gem for a dollar and picked it up (showing the magazine again for comparison, also because it's very cool).  The paperback is from 1960, magazine from 1950.

These came in over the last couple days.  Another George Gross cover, a couple of Popular Giants (which I really enjoy the size of), a gothic novel and a Maguire cover.  And yes, a couple are about nurses...

Ditto. Especially books that aren't in my wheelhouse. I've learned about quite a few, what they are and what they go for. It's great information when you're scouring the interwebs to be able to scoop up bargains if you see the opportunity. Knowledge is power
