Those Tom & Jerry's are beautiful Hepcat!!

I'm a huge fan of certain cartoon books and 1st appearances as seen in my two Dells above and all my the vast majority of my Gold Key books.

Man I would love to own that Our Gang #1 9.4 that's on the block with Heritage right now!! Since it's the first appearance of T&J. But since it's also the first appearance of Our Gang too, it's going to be too wanted and too pricey for my blood.

(Hence today my bid of a grand, was just surpassed this afternoon I saw. lol

Just a little thank you to all who have posted their comics so far. As a marvel collector of many years, my comic book peripheral vision tends to be limited to the Marvel and DC world.

While I can intellectually acknowledge the vast range of comic books available to kids in the past, the display of covers in this thread go a long way to making my understanding of comics and childhood in the 50s and 60s far more real. (thumbs u

I like the Dell Disney Giants because they're the only time you got both Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on the same cover. Plus I'm a great fan of Xmas covers as well!

Just won the absolute cornerstone of my Ben Bowie collection!! :cloud9:

There are only 5 books in the Registry and the next highest grade is a sole 9.0. So this 9.6 was a must win for me, my Ben Bowie collection and set.

I feel like a pig in mess!! :whee:

I remember reading these as a kid, including in the Lost Kids area of the Western Fair when as a seven year old when I got separated from my fourteen year old sister.
