It's a real pretty 3.5 with great colours(with a U even).Shame-it's still lovely, but it'd bug the pants off me

Probably best to steer clear of New Yorkers in general, just to be on the safe side. One has to wonder if Greenwich Village artists actually wore ties while painting in the 1950s. Sqeggs
Unless I'm missing something (yes, that did happen to me once years ago) not only aren't there any of these on the census, but there don't appear to be any graded copies of any of the three issues in this series. Guy reminds of Randolph Scott. damonwad, pmpknface and Yorick

I've owned a couple of copies but the prices they were going for outweighed my interesting in keeping them, so I bid them a fond farewell.
Sqeggs
I can't remember whether I already posted this one. Playing Spin the Bottle while wearing sports jackets and ties is interesting. shiverbones, Point Five, porcupine48 and 1 other
Popular Post N e r V
Posting this win tonight. Put it in the category of seeing a book that you never saw or maybe noticed before. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it. Special thanks to Dr. Love for advice and info. on a book I had no idea what to bid on. I guess it’s a toughie too according to the doc but I’d want it if it was common as Speedball back issues. I really, really like this cover... (Also I think the girl resembles Natalia Dyer from Stranger Things but my GF disagrees) Edited July 26, 2019 by N e r V Dr. Love, shiverbones, pmpknface and 4 others
Sqeggs
Not completely sure whether I like this cover or not. But finding EC romance in higher grades is pretty tough. sacentaur, Dr. Love, shiverbones and 1 other
Sqeggs
CGC is stingy in giving her credit (even when she signs the cover!), but Louise Altson did some wonderful painted covers. comicnoir and pmpknface

It’s a bit weird, it’s tough in grade and it’s Ingels before he got going all in on horror. Imagine the shock in a few months to subscribers when Weird Science showed up in its place... Romance to Weird Fantasy I wonder if anybody actually subscribed through that whole sequence?

Romance to Weird Fantasy I wonder if anybody actually subscribed through that whole sequence? I know my great uncle was pretty upset when Moon Girl shifted to romance at the time but I know he bought that title off the newsstands. He had a few subs during those years for reading copies and I do remember it was common when a title got cancelled they would often just send you a different title to fulfill your subscription instead of refunding the difference. He wasn’t really happy when that happened. A couple of my cousins had subs during the silver age where they did just send you the new title to finish your sub. Good Question... I think Gaines was pretending that it was the same series in order to beat the USPS 2nd-class regs. Must have led to a few complaint letters from subscribers. Sqeggs
Don't know who "Downes" was, but this cover is one of my favorites. Takes a familiar romance cover theme and knocks it out of the park. shiverbones, sagii and pmpknface 2
