Year of the Romance has begun

CL's Focused Auction has 20+ romance books. A surprisingly wide range of publishers: Avon, DC, EC, Fox, Harvey, Hillman, Marvel, Prize, St. John, Star, Superior. While mostly low to mid grade, there are some exceptions (Love Lessons #1 9.6). First issues, high grade, sole grade. There hasn't been an offering like this since that short burst by Sparkle in 2012 (where they flamed out with a 47 book Sunday night spread and cratered from there) and then it's way back to the HA Crippens in 2006. There were the HA Savannahs in 2011 but they were DC specific.

When sellers start slabbing up 4.0s, then one might suspect the genre is preparing a breakout. Another way of looking at it is that romance has been lagging the explosive upside of the past few years in general and, given the low average price with which it starts, there is room for movement to the upside. The good news is romance will always be "undervalued", respective to most other books.

The question is whether the Winter Auction will continue the trend. HA and CC are not players here - it appears CL has captured this market for the moment.

so along these lines - I'll be selling Charltons tonight. Shameless plug! :headbang:

So for romance, this CL focused auction is actually a featured auction? :D

Could they have come up with more confusing names?

I can assure you, and you can trust me on this, that your high grade Romance books would be welcomed with open arms for the Winter Featured auction.
