UPDATE: I'm Missing The Grade

UPDATE May 22, 2014:

 

Well I have managed to see a little more action on the boards (thanks to a combination of drugs prescribed by my doctors)

 

The diagnosis was herniated discs in the C5 to C8, which according to the doctors is treatable only through surgery. The good news is that the success rate for this type of surgery is very high (95% to 98% success rate). Full diagnosis will be confirmed this coming Monday but the specialist was quite convinced based on all of the testing we did during the last visit.

 

I have not regained the full use of my left hand yet but in time they say that full function should return and within 6 months to a year everything should be back to normal.

 

I'm glad to be back on the boards, albeit not to the extent previously, but hey, I don't want to wear out my welcome now, do I?

 

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts and it should be noted that there are many other boardies here that are or have suffered far worse than I have. I draw strength from their courageous battles and positive outlooks on life. My thoughts and prayers go out to you guys for your determination and fortitude and I pray for a speedy recovery for all.

To all my fellow boardies who know how much I enjoy this part of the CGC forum, I just wanted to say that I have missed grading the books in this section due to a spinal injury and the loss of use of my left hand.

 

It makes it very difficult to spend anytime at the computer and the amount of pain is just to unbearable at this time. Through therapy and physio I hope to be back in the next couple of weeks.

 

This has always been my favourite section of the forum and I miss it dearly. When I return I am sure that I will have much to catch up on.
