Popular Post Robot Man
I recently bought this even though I have a real nice raw copy. The price was just too cheap to leave it. Big key in my opinion. One of only just a few EC's I have two or more of. And one of only a couple graded ones I own. NFS... Glad I got the big ones a long time ago. #15 was the last one I needed. I paid up a bit to get a decent copy. I didn't realize it was also a hot one. Was very happy to get them. 7 has been a classic cover for a long time and 15 is, as you say, heating up. I jumped on them fast.
Popular Post Raze
7 42I picked up what I thought would be doubles (and didn't think id win them) but come to find out I didn't have 2 of these (34 & 41) and the one I did have is a lower grade so I got 1 upgrade. Popular Post Jasonmorris1000000
My humble Graham Ingles collection. Mark my words: it will get larger. #14 is one of the scariest covers of all time in my opinion. Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein also non-rebukingly went about having terms such as “slant-eyed devil” in reference to yellow peril villains in Two-Fisted Tales #18 (November, 1950). There are also the several EC horror stories that play up the African stereotypes in the form of the primitive voodoo savage native stereotype. As much as I appreciate EC in general, I’m sure there are also limits as to how such stereotypes can play out before they become questionable, even when keeping in mind the racial equality stories EC did elsewhere. If Gaines and Feldstein learned from several blunders and mistakes during their time working with comics, then something like that would probably be related to at least one of them. Popular Post Robot Man
Got to keep this thread on page one. Just got this one in. Is noted and many agree a “classic” cover. Although a good one, never been one of my top picks. The contents are a bit weak as well on my opinion. But I am closing in on my run and needed this one. Probably paid too much. But figuring how little I paid years ago for most of the rest, I’m OK to do so. I have always found, I usually pay the most for the last one.., fifties, Larryw7, IngelsFan and 3 others

Popular Post OtherEric
So, there was a fire in my apartment building earlier this week. Everybody is safe, and I'm one of the lucky ones in that my stuff was undamaged. But don't be surprised if you don't hear from me much for a few days as I try to find a new apartment, as my complex is full and the building has roof damage that means I can't stay here. I'm fine in the short and long term, but medium term will be a pain in the for a bit: Why am I mentioning it in this thread? Because I'm moving at least a few boxes of books I normally keep at home to my storage unit, and that includes the EC's. Here's a few favorite EC covers for fun, it will be a bit before I can get any more for obvious reasons.
