I’ve been waiting like forever to read the first appearance of Happy Houligans. A one shot with a great cover. My quandary now is whether to crack it or not. Curious to read it but might be disapointed if I do. Is it available on line to read? What do you all say? Crack it or not? But there's no hybrid gold/ yellow label so the Thompson copy is staying unsketched. I love your copy. Robot Man and Raze
Robot Man
Yeah, mine isn’t a pedigree. The only slabbed books I own were bought mostly because I love the cover primarily. A “regular” copy wouldn’t be on my list to slab. Got another nice copy I would like to have the same thing done to but can’t think of any MAD artist still living to preform the “defacing”. Maybe Tom Bunk. Don’t know if he does commissions though. Any suggestions? @Hap Hazard has a cool one!
KirbyJack
I still think Drew Friedman would be an apt “Honorary Usual Ideeot”. Edited November 10, 2022 by KirbyJack goldust40, Larryw7, OtherEric and 1 other

I would accept William Stout as an honorary EC artist if I ever see him at a show, on the basis of the one we've seen and his work with Kurtzman on Dark Horse's New Two Fisted Tales. I think that's the one Hap has, but not positive off the top of my head. KirbyJack and Raze

I also thought about Angelo Torres but not sure if he still does commissions though. Jerry Weist had a classic done by Feldstein that gave me the idea. Popular Post fifties
In today, another way overpriced HA offering. This is real EC gist; spooky and yet humorous in a way. Popular Post Robot Man
A couple of pedigrees of my favorite Panic cover. Pretty sure I have one of Johnny Craig's old file copies as well. Popular Post OtherEric
Today's book. Last issue I needed for the Shock Suspenstories run, although even by my low standards I would like to upgrade my #5. The #5 is getting trickier these days, though, so I'm very glad I snagged my filler copy when I did. Next project: See how much headway I can make on Weird Science & Weird Fantasy. And maybe even look for a few more pre-trend books. Point Five, damonwad, Larryw7 and 5 others
