June Comiclink auction, post 'em if you got 'em (or lost 'em)

I got lucky and was able to pick up all 3 books that I wanted.

Captain Marvel 26

Captain Marvel 29

Captain Marvel 31

That 26 is pretty. All of those went above my broke college student pay grade. HAHA

Congrats though. 26 is a great investment.

A book I was looking at went for around $650. Last GPA sale was $450 with $450 being around the average. Looks like I am spectating tonight. I have though gone and watched an auction go crazy on CLink and went straight to eBay to buy a higher graded copy for less money in the past. This looks like this might be the night for that.
Was a pretty Rhino though

lol at this point it should just be assumed that I am looking at potential upgrades for my ASM collection in every auction.

Funny story  I saw the book and thought it was really sweet, so I look on GPA...but I looked at ASM41 by mistake and put in a bid, so ya its mine

I feel your pain. I've done something like that myself a couple of times.

Someone dropped something on the FF48 8.0 Slab. Ouch....

Usually CLink has that reholdered for you so whoever winds up with that will end up with a reholdered slab courtesy of CLink before they even receive it.

Can anyone explain this specific Bid History to me ? Note the 6/12 bids up to 262. Then what happened ? Clink bids are not retractable.

6/24/2014 9:10:54 PM ET $281

6/24/2014 9:10:54 PM ET $256

6/21/2014 8:51:06 AM ET $230

6/20/2014 3:50:33 PM ET $272

6/20/2014 3:50:33 PM ET $220

6/17/2014 9:39:00 PM ET $210

6/17/2014 9:39:00 PM ET $200

6/13/2014 1:23:33 PM ET $177

6/12/2014 7:58:30 AM ET $262

6/12/2014 6:49:05 AM ET $256

6/12/2014 6:49:05 AM ET $167

6/12/2014 2:05:28 AM ET $6

6/11/2014 9:42:29 PM ET $1

Just a guess, but I think this is a valid example of how that might happen:

1. Bidder #1 bids $1, which takes current bid up to $1 / next bid up to $6

2. Bidder #2 bids $6, which takes current bid up to $6 / next bid up to $11

3. Bidder #3 bids $167, which takes current bid up to $11 / next bid up to $16

4. Bidder #4 bids $256, which takes current bid up to $172 / next bid up to $177

5. Bidder #4 bids $262, which leaves current bid at $172 and next bid at $177

6. Bidder #5 bids $177, which takes current bid up to $182 / next bid up to $187

and so on...

Granted, it seems a bid odd that the same bidder would bid $256, and then come back an hour or so later and up his max bid by a mere $6 to $262, but I suppose stranger things have happened...

Marvel Keys are always in high demand and the FF1 looked much nicer than the assigned grade with OW-W pages and no Marvel chipping (from what I can see) Look how sharp those corners are as well.

Whoever got that one... even $2500 over GPA I think it looks nicer than a couple of 7.0's I have seen.

Someone tried to take out the Watcher and missed...but no worries, Marvel's got that under control.
