That is one fugly book!

So I take it PGX has no 0.5 grade, because if this book doesn't rate it, I don't know what does.

It also looks like the centerfold was taken for another copy, if indeed it was formerly complete.

2 restored 38s in the upcoming CL auction, 1 restored copy in the HA auction and 1 universal copy in the CC auction.

What do you think the restored 3.5 will go for?

Hi Harold,

You know that you want to bid on that PGX 1.0 :baiting:

Better than .5 :roflmao: I think when the book is coverless it should get a .5. IMO when the book has at least 50% of a front cover it should get 1.0 :taptaptap:

I wish i could find a copy of Action 1 in that shape in that holder dont you (shrug) Just take it out of holder and you would sell as a poor 1.0 all day/night and in your dreams :acclaim:

If I remember correctly, doesn't overstreet say a comic can be missing the back cover and still be graded as a "fair" as long as the rest of the book is complete?

HA 6.5 EP @ 8K

sold a 4.5 ep last year for 11+, so this seems like a good deal

+1

thought the 38 went low (and it's a nice looking copy)

I believe the EP restoration was a significant factor that brought the price down, as the market is just not that liquid for EP books.

There also has been a lot of early pre-Robin 'Tec (including 'Tec 38) coming into the marketplace recently. So, the thinking may have been to pass over this EP copy and just wait for the next one in either better or unrestored condition to come along. hm

What's with all the copies that are being offered everywhere all of a sudden !? There's even a copy being offered on Pedigree Comics ???

Although it should be pointed out, however, that virtually all of the copies that are surfacing have pretty heavy restoration work on them, like this EP copy on the Pedigree Comics website.

The only one that appears to be unrestored and in relatively half decent condition is the CGC 4.0 copy on CC's upcoming auction. Only problem is that this is most likely going to require digging deep into your pocket if you hope to have any chance of picking it up. hm
