A 4.0 for 2500?

Try getting a BB28 for that now....

Btw... in terms of scarcity, how does BB28 stack up?

JIM 83 is the next rarest book,no?

I think it will be the next breakout book.

I don't know, it is rarer but the appeal of Thor is markedly less.

That's what people said about the Hulk at one point too.

Come on Dave. You know people wait for the title to run in price then jump on the bandwagon. Then you see a ton of WTB threads. And then everyone talks about the hot title of the moment like its gold and the high prices it's selling, and of course how long they loved that title.

I think you add at least $1000 to the TOS price in that grade. Not sure about the JIM as I don't pay attention to that book.

Am I the only one that's surprised to see that there are fewer TOS #39s graded than FF #1s?

You are so right Frankie, how silly of me. :insane: I mean it is THOR for Christ sake, not that cute little raccoon everyone is getting all crazy for.

I still don't understand the Racoon thing, but it is what it is. (shrug)

Yeah, and you can add another 2K to the JIM 83 in that grade too.

I think salability and importance are two distinct things.

AF #15 is the king of the sales end.

Showcase #4 is the king of the importance end.

If I were an investor, I'd go this way:

AF #15

Hulk #1

Amazing Spider-Man #1

Showcase #4

Tales of Suspense #39

Brave and Bold #28

Fantastic Four #1

I think a little differently.I tend to buy the hardest to find books first, then move on to the easier to find last.

Showcase 4

Hulk 1

B&B 28

JLA 1

Journey into Mystery 83

Showcase 22

ToS 39

F.F. 1

AF15

Amazing Spider-Man 1

X-Men 1

Daredevil 1

Still working on my want list, almost done.

I think i swallowed the blue pill... I never understood the value of SC #4.

FF 1

AF 15 although I was never a huge spidey fan unless you count electric company during the 70s.

Hulk 1

TOS 39

Xmen 1

Avengers 4

FF 4

JIM 85

Oh and not to forget the value of DC which picks up late SA

Neil Adams GL and Batman

:headbang:

So all of your top keys from the Silver Age are Marvels?

No Showcase #4? Or Brave and the Bold #28? Showcase #22?

Until DC makes a movie that doesn't suck that doesn't include Batman and to a lesser degree Superman, I kinda get that.

For me it is:

AF15

BB28

I see those two as the kings of Marvel and DC too.

Next are:

FF1 (which in some ways ought to be before AF15)

Hulk1

Showcase 4 (I like it.. but I do think it might seep even lower in the future..)

JIM83

Then:

TOS39 (let's face it.. Iron-man was considered a second tier character before the movies..)

Avengers 1

Showcase 22

In terms of value, in today's market, AF #15 is clearly the King of the Silver Age.

Which book do you think is the next most valuable today, across most grades?

The Prince is definitely IH #1, with FF #1 a close runner-up. (thumbs u

What do you think?

I believe this would be the case even without the media hype or movie marketing. hm
