Prefer to stream at home when it becomes available. I just find the constant box office posting tiresome. Would you like me to tell you the plot - would that be better? I don't get the obsession with the numbers...I stop paying attention after I see it and just check a few months later. I think we humans enjoy seeing records broken, whether it's an athletic record, or a record price for a comic book, or a movie box office record. Everyone knew the first Avengers movie was going to do really well at the box office, but Black Panther (and to a slightly lesser degree Wonder Woman) came out and SO exceeded expectations that I really cheer for it's success. Part of me knows it's just the industry getting rich, but another part of me is rooting for the movie to just keep breaking records. Black Panther has always been a "B" list character in the Marvel Universe. NO MORE! BP will now be "A" list all the way. A post or two per day would be fine, but a dozen or more per day talking about the numbers? bane

I usually check in about once a week on this thread and go right to the most current comments. This next weekend will be when BP catches Avengers (and passes SW:LJ) so I'll probably check in a few extra times to read comments.

It also gives you a feel for the road ahead what this movie would be tackling next - in same-dollars. And if you check The Avengers, you realize what a monster hit it is even when converted to 2018 USD. THUNDERBALLLLL????? Great movie, but I'm surprised it was the 'highest' of the Bonds. But I'm not old enough to remember which 'felt' the most popular.

Because Goldfinger (# 45 on the all-time adjusted list) is generally considered the best Bond movie, so everyone would be eagerly anticipating the follow-up -- even if it ended up not being as great a film. See also - Matrix: Revolutions, which made 60%+ more than the original Matrix at the box office, despite being much inferior.

Callaway29
Finally watched it. It was good, but didn’t live up to all the hype. However, it being a bootleg version, and lower quality picture, probably didn’t help...
divineunited
Hi all! We are a design team working on some weapon designs for Marvel’s sequel to Black Panther and wanted to ask the dedicated fans for some input! We want to make sure the clothing/weapons will be even more spectacular in the sequel. We do not know who we are designing the weapon for, so all options are on the table in terms of the weapon design. Do you mind if we ask some questions regarding your opinions about the Afro-futuristic designs in the first film? 1. How did the weapons, artwork, and tools in the first movies appeal to you? What did you like and NOT like? 2. Was the design true enough to the comic books for you? 3. What things in the movie do you want to see more of? 4. Is there a particular feature from any of the comic books that you’d like to see added to some of the weapons/costumes in upcoming movies? 5. How did the afro-futuristic utopia of Wakanda appeal to you? What did you like and NOT like about the city design? 6. What aspects of the Black Panther universe do you want to see more of in future films?
