Star Wars returns to Marvel Comics

709 posts in this topic

Book with a supposed million print run is sold out and headed to a second printing. :applause: I guess you could say the demand is strong with this one...

Deceptive print run.

Sure there are 1,000,000 copies out there.

1st print regular covers : 150,000

Tops.

For a Star Wars property.

That's peanuts

you really can't compare how Dark Horse did with this Marvel version...Marvel is on a whole other level in regards to marketing....I think people are pretty excited about the new movie.

Marketing sure....

BUT

Disney owns Lucasfilm & Marvel.

These stories count.

They're real.

That's the big deal.

( with me anyway, what do I know I've only been a Star Wars fan since 1977 when my dad took a station wagon of twelve year olds to opening night in Chelmsford, MA )

Anyone near/in Seattle going to the EMP Museum that wouldn't mind picking up a copy of the below? Will make it worth your while. Thanks

EMP Museum - Star Wars

EMP Museum Star Wars #1

EMP Museum Star Wars #1 news article

I can't help you, but that is pretty cool. The EMP Museum was one of the neatest museums I've ever been to.

yeah, most every non marvel comic before this has pretty much been fan fiction.

Dark Horse comics are NOT part of the new official Disney / Lucasfilm / Marvel continuity. They're now like the Age Of Apocalypse of Star Wars cannon.

Sorry.

Take a minute for that to digest.

THAT'S the big deal for the new Marvel series.

K?

Store variants were capped at 3000 copies? I have no idea, that's just a number I have seen thrown around before.

No.

Minimum purchase is 3,000.

Most opted in for 4,500. (3,000 color 1,500 B&W)

(I have one pal that ordered 10,000 color)

So I just read #1, and I really enjoyed it.

Very cool cliffhanger!

Didn't Aaron get Han Solo's(Harrison Ford) attitude perfectly.

I'm NOT trying to be: Speculate on this book guy.

It's a BAD long term play.

John Cassaday couldn't have "nailed" the characters better.

Jaw dropping.

I get it. He'll fall behind schedule with issue four & we'll get fill in art.

Right now, I'm happy.
