Mine either.. I keep missing these. Congrats to whomever snagged it.

Patience. I am thinking more will come out to market.

Yeah I know, theyre probably burried in boxes with people not even realizing what they have.

What was the back story with these again? Is it the same as the UXM 510 sketch with them being handed out at conventions?

Yeah, I bet there are copies just sitting in short boxes. lol

Attendees of the marvel/BET panel received a copy at NYCC in 2009. It's not talked about because Black Panther doesn't have the same reach as Xmen and this cover art is not as great as the 510 IMO. Campbell actually did the cover art for the entire run of this series if I remember correctly. It was short lived.

I have raw 9-4 9.6. I do still need a 9.8 for my collection, because I am OCD like that.

I missed this one too... but I got one from this seller about a month ago... bought a black widow 6 off of him recently and asked if he had another one of the panther and he said he was pretty sure the one I bought was the last... both books I got from him are beautiful... wish he would have emailed me... I honestly think this has the potential to be in the realm of UXM 510 sketch once it gets well known... it's rare and I think it's just as gorgeous as 510... so I'm going to keep buying them as they pop up... black panther is going to get a popularity boost with the new movies, and so will this book...

That Silk #3 9.8 sold. IDK what foor since BO was accepted seems to default no matter how much it sold for.

$250

Wow and the first offer was $350.

How can you tell the sold price on a best offer? Watchcount doesn't reveal it anymore.

I want to offer him $150 but I know, his greed would decline the offer because someone else will pay it.

You're kidding, right?

Also, Silk #3 is more popular because it was not solicited as a JSC variant to retailers. It was simply listed as a variant. When it was announced it was too late for retailers to order more copies. Look at a similar timeline book like Ms. Marvel #2 '92 variant and it's not nearly as expensive because it was advertised to retailers as a JSC variant so they knew to up their order.

Nope, dead serious. $100 for the Raw copy, $35 for Grading/Slabbing, $15.00 for shipping = $150. Especially because the seller likely paid $15 or less for if they pre-ordered.

Reasons why I am trying to track down my own 9.8 candidate vs. paying someone else $400. I can still beat the $400 price point subbing myself, even if I buy a raw for $100 or more.

You understand that when someone performs a service for you, that you aren't just paying for the service, right? People don't slab raw books with the intent to then sell them for the price of the raw book plus the grading fees. They make an additional percentage off the book because they slabbed it, taking the time and effort to do so.

It does if you click the "history" which is highlighted in yellow.

I just picked up a couple of the JSC Black Panther covers, on one BP is fighting Dr Doom - which is speculated to be a "hot" book with the new volume (Bulletproof Comics Exclusive). I wonder if the dollar needle will move on the value of the one I have enroute?

That's the Dell'otto variant though.

Unless I misinterpreted what he said about Black Panther fight Dr Doom (bullet proof comics exc). Last time I check that is not JSC. I could be wrong.
