Hey it will make a small market flood and drop the price of unsigned copies.... Snatch them up, and get SS...

those signed copies being sold on his site wont get SS.

I'm saying when people flood the signed copies on the bay... The unsigned copies will drop a bit... That's when you snatch up the unsigned ones and get them signed and witness at a later date...

what's the best J Scott Campbell cover to own?

That is a personal preference honestly. The SSM 20 is a wonderful cover and still has room to grow. Personally, one of my favorites is the Black Widow 6 cover. Very hard to find and has that Scarlett Johansson look:)

Mmaybe but I am always afraid that there's some defect that a press wouldn't get out and I'd be out some time and money. Maybe if the price was closer to $500 I 'might' consider taking the gamble. I was gonna sprng for that 9.6 that was on Pedigree Comics recently, but there was a spine corner square cut hanging out so I held off.

You were probably wise to do that. Looking at the current census numbers the book does not appear to be an "easy 9.8" by any means.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what makes one JSC cover worth $800 when another is just $4 on ebay? it's obviously not the artist otherwise all of his art (which is a LOT) would be worth either $4 or $800. For example, I love the JSC cover art for Bubble Gun #1, but it's relatively cheap compared to Superior Spider-Man #20. Maybe i'm just missing something, or maybe it's just preference.

Thoughts?

cool vs non cool

(shrug)

Thats subjective, and I can't believe that ASM #688 is "cooler" than 50% of his other stuff.

Cooler, much tougher to find in general, and a very well done departure from his usual "big titty" stuff. (And also in a long running, title).
