Sauce Dog
Yawn and Yikes! (also is he only getting his signature makeup for the final act? Seems like it is being put on just for the theatre)
shadroch
I have never read books, nor have I seen the original movie. It looks interesting enough, and I'll watch it as soon as it streams on the platform I get.
1Cool
Looks like a reboot that really didn't need to be made but I liked the Ozzy song playing in the background. I agree it looks like John Wick more than the original but I'd be pissed if they did a 100% remake. I'll probably watch it when it gets to streaming but no way I pay extra to watch it. Chip Cataldo
LOL. That looks horrible. It's like there's a collective effort between every studio to destroy the comic book movie genre. D84
Rip
I like Skarsgard but not so sure about this. Sometimes his upper body looks more like the Crow than the previous movie, but at the same time I agree he looks more like a villain. I'll watch it when its free on HBO or something maybe. Looks like it could have gone straight to a streaming service. Sell your Crow 1's quick.
Sauce Dog
I think what is really bothering me is that it is clear they are shooting the entire movie for best presentation on tik-tok (all shots centre framed aligned so everything can fit in a vertical screen when shared, even the slow scenes, so the excuse of doing so for editing purposes like Fury Road are moot). It's already well known that many movies are composing for Tik Tok now in order to best harness social platforms, but this one just feels even more obvious than usual. Popular Post Bosco685
Quote Thirty years after its release, the supernatural superhero thriller “The Crow” is getting the remake treatment from director Rupert Sanders and star Bill Skarsgård. But Alex Proyas, the director of the original 1994 film starring Brandon Lee, doesn’t think that’s a good idea. “I really don’t get any joy from seeing negativity about any fellow filmmakers work,” Proyas wrote on Facebook. “And I’m certain the cast and crew really had all good intentions, as we all do on any film. So it pains me to say any more on this topic, but I think the fan’s response speaks volumes. [‘The Crow’] is not just a movie. Brandon Lee died making it, and it was finished as a testament to his lost brilliance and tragic loss. It is his legacy. That’s how it should remain.” In his Facebook post, Proyas linked to a CBR article titled “The Crow Remake Trailer Gets Staggering Amount of Dislikes on YouTube.” The trailer for the remake, which also stars FKA Twigs, received a fair amount of backlash online. onlyweaknesskryptonite, D84, Namtak and 2 others 3
