Your Favorite All-Time Cover (w/Explanation)

OK, I already showed my favorite 90s book. Now here's my favorite 70s book, and one of my all time faves. Normally I favor the Wrightson horror covers but Kaluta did great on this one. I love all the animals. Notice a horse, goat, cat, pigs, dogs, and even a bird, rat and a lizard. And cool moon-demons. This cover has it all, so much so that I bought seven copies, the best one being a CGC 9.4.

I have two favorites. X-Men #50 just grabs my attention. It has a very different look to it than any of the other covers in the entire run. It also gives you the sense that the idea for The Phoenix was played with in the past. I was lucky enough to pick this pedigree up a short time ago.

 

 

Then there's my other favories... Amazing Spider-Man #50 (50 seems to be a good number for covers). The image evokes great emotions. The image of the hero walking away from himself. Just phenominal. Keep in mind that I'm also not a big Spider-Man fan. I own just a couple of issues, but this book always pulls me in. Unfortunately the image below isn't a book I own.... maybe someday

Hard to choose a favorite cover but I have to lean towards Wonder Woman #1.

This was one of the first comic book covers that I ever saw. I was mostly

attracted to the yellow background.
