About 50 percent of my heritage is Canadian. Lots of relatives and ancestors from Montreal, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

I never have visited Canada. :o

I plan to remedy that by visiting Canada to see relatives in the years ahead!

Man! Talk about bringing back childhood memories!

 

Steinberg's used to sell a ground pork dish called Creton that my Dad would eat after Christmas Eve mass. Talk about treyf! ;-)

Wow, I can't believe that store is no longer around, as I was in there on 2010 when I was at a conference, and just read that it closed in 2012.

 

Now that was a COOL place, full of crazy old stuff, and was definitely a nostalgia rush.

 

More fond Canadian memories. Pretty sure this was the College St address - can't seam to find any of the place I knew on Queen St West but close enough...
