That is by far the most absurd thing I've read this week. If it's actually true then I'd have to come up with an even more fitting word because absurd wouldn't cut it. I cannot fathom anyone of sound mind ordering that many copies of any book.

I'm a person_too_unaware_of_social_graces and I think I read what he wrote wrong. I think what he says was that image printed an extra 24,000 on top of retailer orders.

Spoke to Cliff Chiang this weekend in Baltimore , he said there will not be a variant at NYCC unless Image makes one. He also said that there would be no variants at all, just a straight first issue, we will see.

FYI there is a signing on Thursday October 8th at Forbidden Planet NYC from 8p-10p with BKV and Cliff. This is also the first night of NYCC.

 

I am taking bets on if they will be late to the signing.
