Fun cover and not one I have seen that often. Some covers you see all the time. Not this one.

+1 I love the bears expression! I can't quite put my finger on it but it cracks me up!

Always wonderful to see your treasures, MM.

Here's an issue from the same era that just came back from CGC. Does not have the charm of belonging to an orignal owner but really hard to find in this shape.

And that is a book I always see; although not in this condition! The message is that beak abuse covers sell but bears in cages do not. I don't think they put gorillas on WDCS covers because then we would see those all the time. After all DC found out they sold like hot cakes back in the late fifites!

One reason you see this book a lot is because the old man on Daisy Ave. in Long Beach, CA, must have had over 100 copies of it, all in nice shape. The only drawback was that he stamped them with a capital G in stencil format inicating that they sold two for fifteen cents. What was amazing was that he sold his newer comics for ten cents each. Anyone have any GA books with a stenciled capital G they can post?

edgerx is offering three early issues of WDC&S in the marketplace… :cloud9:

Pre-Barks WDC&S are not my collecting focus, but those are nice books that you don't see every day.
